Barack Obama

Barack Hussein Obama II (Honolulu, 4 de agosto de 1961) é um político dos Estados Unidos da América, sendo o 44º e atual presidente de seu país, pelo Partido Democrata. Sua candidatura foi formalizada pela Convenção do Partido Democrata em 28 de agosto de 2008. Tomou posse a 20 de janeiro de 2009. Até então, era senador pelo estado de Illinois. Obama foi o primeiro negro (afro-americano no contexto estadunidense) a ser eleito presidente estadunidense,[1][2]. Foi também o único senador afro-americano na legislatura anterior.

PORTUGUESE FEMALE POWER On 20 May 2006 we had the pleasure of spending 48 hours in Portugal adjudicating an attempt on the Guinness World Record for the Largest Human National Flag. The record to beat was set in Scotland earlier this year when 13,254 fans formed the Saltire, the Scottish national flag, at a Scotland v France Six-Nations game at Murrayfield Rugby Club. Held at Lisbon's national stadium, the event was organized by a company called Realizar who had plenty of experience having organized seven other successful Guinness World Records attempts. These include the Largest Hockey Stick, a staggering 56 ft 7 in ( 17.25 m) long, the Largest Human Logo made up of 34,000 people (part of Portugal's successful bid to host the Euro 2004 soccer championships) and the Largest Football with a whopping diameter of 19 ft 10 in (6.06 m)!
