S.Giao, Penalva de Alva, Bobadela, Oliveira do Hospital

Penalva de Alva é uma antiga freguesia portuguesa do concelho de Oliveira do Hospital, com 12,12 km² de área e 926 habitantes (2011). A sua densidade populacional era 76,4 hab/km².
Foi extinta (agregada) pela reorganização administrativa de 2012/2013,[1] sendo o seu território integrado na União de Freguesias de Penalva de Alva e São Sebastião da Feira.

Foi vila e sede de concelho até meados do século XIX. Em 1801 tinha 2 157 habitantes e 37 km². Era constituído pelas freguesias da sede, Alvoco das Várzeas e São Gião. Após as reformas administrativas do início do liberalismo foi-lhe anexada a freguesia de São Sebastião da Feira e a freguesia de São Gião passou para o concelho de Sandomil. Tinha, em 1849, 2 191 habitantes e 25 km².
