Taizé 2010- Encontro em Roterdão

O 33° Encontro Europeu terá lugar pela primeira vez na Holanda. De 28 de Dezembro de 2010 a 1 de Janeiro de 2011, este Encontro vai reunir dezenas de milhares de jovens em Roterdão. Terra natal de Erasmus, no século XV, esta cidade (que em 2009 foi designada capital europeia da juventude) manifestou uma vontade muito grande de acolher uma etapa da Peregrinação de Confiança através da Terra. As paróquias católicas e protestantes de várias localidades à volta de Roterdão (como a Haia ou Delft) também estarão implicadas no acolhimento dos jovens peregrinos.

PORTUGUESE FEMALE POWER On 20 May 2006 we had the pleasure of spending 48 hours in Portugal adjudicating an attempt on the Guinness World Record for the Largest Human National Flag. The record to beat was set in Scotland earlier this year when 13,254 fans formed the Saltire, the Scottish national flag, at a Scotland v France Six-Nations game at Murrayfield Rugby Club. Held at Lisbon's national stadium, the event was organized by a company called Realizar who had plenty of experience having organized seven other successful Guinness World Records attempts. These include the Largest Hockey Stick, a staggering 56 ft 7 in ( 17.25 m) long, the Largest Human Logo made up of 34,000 people (part of Portugal's successful bid to host the Euro 2004 soccer championships) and the Largest Football with a whopping diameter of 19 ft 10 in (6.06 m)!
